THE BEATLES, four lads who shook the world

The Beatles were a rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members were John Lennon (singer and lead guitar), Paul McCartney and George Harrison on guitars and Ringo Starr on drums.

They started to play in a place called The Casbah Café before going to Hamburg in Germany, where they started to become more popular. On their return to Liverpool they started to play concerts at The Cavern Club and soon after Beatlemania started all over the world.

Their most famous songs include "Yesterday", "Hey Jude", "She loves you", "Penny Lane", "Yellow Submarine" and many, many more.

They split up in 1970 and the four of them began solo careers. Only two members are still alive, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
